Business Source Premier by Ebsco

Business Source Premier provides lots of fantastic resources including Company Profiles. Company Profiles are just what they sound like. They are released usually at least once a year and Business Source Premier uses MarketLine Company Profiles Authority to attain the information on these companies. To get started finding a profile on a specific company, follow the photos and directions below.

1. Enter the company you are searching for in the first search box at the top of the page. For this example, I entered Google.
2. Next, select "CO Company Entity" from the drop down menu that says "Select a Field."

After that, make sure to scroll down to the "Document Type" option under "Search Options." Select "Company Report" from the list. Then hit search at the bottom right corner of the page or the green search button at the top of the page.

You are now on the search results page.

1. Take note of the date of publication. You will more than likely want to most recent profile unless you are doing a historical analysis.
2. You are able to download the full text report right from the search results.

Now there is another way to find company profiles and that is by clicking the "Company Profiles" link at the top of the page highlighted with the red box in this screen shot.

Once you are in the "Company Profiles" interface, you are able to:

1. Search for a company name by entering it into the search box and clicking "Browse."
2. Scroll through an alphabetical list of all the companies in Business Source Premier.

Once you submit your search, as I did here for Google, you get a list of results.

1. Find your companies name in the results listed here. Click this to go into the detailed record of the company which contains a lot of additional information.
2. You are able to click here and pull up the PDF full text report.

If you do click to go into the detailed record on the company, you will find the following information.

1. The company name is listed right at the top of the record.
2. The official address of the company.
3. The country that the company is officially located in.
4. An abstract providing some basic information about the company.
5. Products and services of the company are listed here. Make sure to scroll down to see a complete list if it is a big company like Google.
6. Download the full text PDF profile.
7. In the red box you will find options for location more information about your company. Simply clicking on the option you are looking for will complete the search for your company and that kind of information.
