Organizational Management Research

This guide is intended to assist you in completing research using the library's resources for your courses in organizational management.

What is an annotated bibliography?

An annotated bibliography consists of two parts: (1) the bibliography and (2) the annotations.

The bibliography is a list of all of your sources used for your research project. It can also be called "works cited" or "references."

The annotations follow each source you have listed in your bibliography. The annotations summarize and evaluate each source.

An annotated bibliography may look different from others you have done in the past depending on your instructor's guidelines. It is important to remember that you must follow the guidelines given to you by your instructor.

Example

Here is an example of a citation in APA style followed by an annotation.

Click to the next slide to see the parts of the annotation highlighted and labeled.

You can also zoom in to read the annotation by clicking on the square symbol to the left of the slideshow arrows.
